Adequate, but Some Issues

road noisevague directions
The traffic noise was a real problem. I struggled to sleep since the room faced the road! I learned none of the windows have double glazing because of local regulations, quite annoying. I thought the lack of clear arrival instructions was a bit of a miss, particularly when directions to the accommodation were somewhat vague. I was directed to knock on a neighbor's door to get sorted, not the five-star welcome I was expecting.

Really good Stay With a Superb Family Team

excellent staydelicious breadtraffic noise
The attention to detail was very nice, from the warm greeting to the surprise evening treats. Breakfast was amazing. The family team makes everything from scratch, including delicious bread and locally sourced food served on hot plates. I spent five days with a lovely, friendly, and hardworking family and felt very well looked after.
I noticed that my room faced the road, and i could hear some traffic noise. Windows are not double glazed, this Made it a little difficult for me to fall asleep.

The room had THICK white fluffy towels and toiletries. It had fine views across the valley. The windows were open to ensure the room wasn't too hot and it was super clean.

The full English breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented. They also had lots of other choices for breakfast that i would have liked to try. ALL the food is locally sourced, and served on hot plates.

Some issues with the room and service.

traffic noisedouble glazed windows
The traffic noise from the road outside the hotel was a problem. I couldn't sleep well. None of the windows are double glazed. This is because of local regulations. The owner started telling us what was not her fault instead of trying to listen. It was frustrating.
