charming lodging near historic landmarks
helpful staffspacious roomlocal option
i found the staff consistently helpful and friendly. the room was spacious and the bed proved quite comfortable. the selection of ales at the bar impressed me, with many local options.
the stair carpet showed some wear.

The location across from the Cathedral Green impressed me. It was a short walk to attractions. The staff also were friendly and humorous. I liked being able to hear the cathedral bells on the hour. That was unique to this lodging. The bed and pillows were super comfy

the pub had a relaxed atmosphere, i appreciate that. the barman, ty, earned my commendation for his service and beer knowledge. i found our room spacious and well-equipped, ensuring a restful night.
the heating in our room wasn't working, which i reported. a staff member tried fixing it, but ultimately provided a portable heater. while adequate, it wasn't ideal to rely on a temporary solution.
