a mixed bag, really

high tv remote location
the room was a bit underwhelming i must say the tv was mounted way too high on the wall it was actually uncomfortable to watch plus and to add insult to injury there was no toilet paper in the room upon arrival like seriously someone forgot a basic necessity the location felt rather isolated it was a bit of a trek to find any decent place to walk the dogs i mean a stroll should be a stroll not an expedition

Quiet Country Stay

spacious room comfortable bed free parking full english breakfast
The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed for a restful sleep. A bath and a separate shower were available in the bathroom. The hotel provided ample free parking spaces . Breakfast was comprehensive, with a full English option, along with fruits and cereals.
The bedside lampshades could use an update, as they looked a bit worn.
Dining

The breakfast room was spacious and clean, with a bar area stocked with cereal and juice. I could order a traditional cooked breakfast and (I was pleased to find) poached eggs. Staff members were always friendly and accomodating.

attentive waiter clean room damp smell bathroom fan
the location was excellent for visiting nearby areas. the breakfast was a highlight. there was a spacious, clean room designated for breakfast. a very attentive waiter took care of our tea, coffee, and cooked breakfast requests.
the room had a noticeable damp smell upon arrival. i had to keep the window open to air it out. the bathroom fan was not working. i felt it was a bit unhygienic when using the toilet.

great food, clean room

clean room delicious food log fire
the rooms are nice and neat. the food are delicious and great value. the pub has a pool table and a cosy log fire, my sons like it so much. i have made a mistake at first and went to another pub with same name in the town, they don't provide rooms.
the welcome wasn't warm, it was a terse response at check-in. the room was a disabled access room and the wall heater didn't work. the shower room was freezing, and hot water for shower gave up after five minutes. the bathroom also looks sad, with a wet carpet outside.
