a perfect escape
beautiful room homemade food
The room was beautifully presented and immaculate. the variety and presentation of food was great. Also the taste of the home made food was just delicious. sarah and jim.
i felt awkward, because i had brought some alcohol, and the hotel book mentioned restrictions, though the website didn't.

north bay is a good short walk from the hotel. the location is advantageous for those wanting easy access to the seafront. nearby peasholm park provides a lovely green space for peaceful strolls and picnics.

convenient location homemade granola
The location was very convenient as i didn't need to move my car at all. the breakfast had homemade granola. I enjoyed it, the banana bread was also lovely.
The hotel book had a rule about not bringing your own alcohol. I felt awkward because i had some.

a treasure found
warm welcome room cleanliness delicious meal really good value
sarah and jim greeted us upon arrival with such warmth. our room, a sanctuary, displayed such cleanliness and careful attention. the food presented became a highlight, each meal felt specially prepared with love. i must also mention the value, which greatly was so good for the entire stay.
the heating schedule felt a bit restricted, i wishes it was more flexible to adjust to our comfort.

Heating Issues and Confusing Rules
limited heating confusing rule
I felt pretty cold . The heating only operated briefly in the morning and evening. The hotel information mentioned adjusting the room's heating, but the radiators had no effect (I'm not sure if they were faulty). I also saw a rule against outside food and drinks, made me uncomfortable because I had brought alcohol. This rule should be clarified online.

superb north shore experience
wonderful hosts convenient location tasty breakfast helpful knowledge
jim and sarah were wonderful hosts. the location was close to the beach and the open air theatre, i found it very convenient. the breakfast was tasty and the room had chocolates on arrival, i thought that was a very nice touch. i appreciated the helpful local knowledge they shared.
the hotel book mentioned a policy against bringing outside food or alcohol, it made me a little uneasy as i had brought some alcohol with me! though it wasn't a big issue.

the hosts provided a very personal welcome with tea and a chat. they also replaced the goodies in the room daily, i was impressed with that detail. the recommended taxi firm was reliable and known to them.

the breakfast included homemade granola. There was also fruit bread available. Evening meals were an option, jims specialty pizzas were great.
the hotel is just a short stroll from the beach. this meant a bit more walking.
