an acceptable stay
exquisite architecture friendly staff great food new annex generic feel recent building
the architecture showed exquisite details, and the layout was very well planned. the staff members were friendly and always ready to help. the food tasted great, each dish carefully prepared and presented.
i did not realize they had built an annex in recent years. i was booked into one of those rooms. it felt very generic because it was a brand new build.

large shower private bath local crafts
i stayed in the suite terrace main building 104. the room had a large shower. a private outdoor bath. it's lovely the hotel shows narai's local crafts throughout the hotel.
breakfast had some challenging options for me, but i could find many good alternatives to eat.

the kaiseki dinner featured local dishes and sake.. the tamagoyaki at breakfast was the best i've ever tasted. the chefs are lovely and helpful.

the staff is very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. they are well versed in using translators, so communication is easy even with limited japanese. every effort has been made to assist guests.

Wonderful Narai Stay
modern aesthetic really good service
The hotel's modern aesthetic in historic buildings impressed me. The staff provided really good service. I found the onsen offered pure luxury! The 8 course dinner featured local ingredients. I also enjoyed the breakfast. It was as awesome as dinner.
The annex room felt very generic! I found that it lacked the charm of the main building. The semi-double beds are not ideal for couples.

The hotel provided a fine dining experience with multiple courses, showcasing local dishes. Each meal included sake pairings! The wagashi was a special treat at arrival. The tamagoyaki for breakfast was the best I've ever had.
