underwhelming stay at former glory

the breakfast included a decent selection, and the view from the breakfast room was acceptable.

the hotel needs some care. the garden looked pretty scruffy, it lacked weeding. also, the distance from the parking area to our room felt long, particularly with medical equipment to carry. signage from the main road was poor, and i spent a lot of time trying to find the access road.

the architecture was wonderful! the breakfast was very good and included in the price.

I found a lack of attention to detail. The shower was broken, and there was no shower gel in the bathroom. small complaints, but it's only fair i expect a higher standard when paying higher amounts. i would have appreciated these issues addressed.

the breakfast was quite good with enough variety. the view from the dining room added to the experience. i liked that the staff booked a taxi for me from the train station. the chateau garden was also pleasing.

i found the room lacked proper maintenance. there were cobwebs and spiders behind the radiator. also, the wallpaper was coming off the wall, which i noticed immediately. the grounds seemed neglected. it took a while to get served in the bar.
