Just okay stay. Some issues

weak showerinsufficient heating
The shower was really weak!!! it barely trickled. heating was also a problem. I could not get the room temperature right. the room was either too hot or too cold. i really wish i could have adjusted it better. this made sleeping difficult.

Charming Scottish Retreat!

friendly stafflovely pubamazing viewslow water pressure
This hotel was a great start to my trip to Scotland. The pub is lovely in a cute village that is surrounded by nature plus amazing views. The staff were attentive and super friendly. I had dinner in the pub and it was one of the best meals I had, so you should definitely eat here if you can.
The shower was not good the water pressure was low. I also thought the heating was not sufficient or adjustable enough. It was a bit too cold for my liking at night.
Location

The surrounding countryside offers wonderful local walks. Plus the hotel's proximity to the borders and Scotland's farther reaches makes it a superb base. I enjoyed exploring nearby attractions with ease.
Service

Dining
10/10
I enjoyed a superb breakfast cooked to order and everything was delicious. There was ample supply of milk for tea and coffee in my room. I also loved the homemade tartare sauce with the fish and chips.
Rooms
9/10
The room included first class linens and towels. It was also very nice and neat. The room was tastefully furnished and well stocked with tea and coffee. I slept soundly.
