a mixed experience

off-street parkingpoor bathroom
The breakfasts were good. Ample off-street parking was available.
The room felt tired, and the bathroom was very poor. There was nowhere comfortable to sit other than on the bed. I think premier inn might have been preferable.

Great Stay at Castle

great valuefriendly ownerstired room
I had a happy surprise. I needed to book fast on the way to Wales. This hotel worked for our needs and was great value. The location was very good, and the owners are friendly. The room was adequate and the shower was good!
One staff member was very short when I checked in. She did not seem pleased I had arrived and was not cute. I found the room a little tired, and it needs care.

I loved the breakfasts. They were generous! the building itself is a period building with so much displayed history. plus, the location is fantastic. It has easy access to nature and public transport!
the room felt a little chilly at times! it is expected in such an old building though.

A Decent Stay

free parkinghelpful hostgreat roadtired roomcold tap
I found good free parking. The hosts were quite friendly and helpful (especially with directions). Breakfast was generous. I also enjoyed the proximity to great driving roads.
The room felt a little tired. I noticed it needed some TLC. The cold tap would not turn off. I think it needs a new washer.
