i found the owner and her team friendly and helpful. the full english breakfast was fantastic. a log fire burned in the bar. i saw beautiful antiques in the dining room and throughout the hotel.
i noticed a slight noise from the street during the night it was not a big issue

easy accessenglish breakfast
sheila made access easy when i returned late. breakfast was delicious and i recommend adding it to your stay (especially the full english).

mixed feelings about the stay
road trafficcancelled breakfast
the noise from the nearby road was pretty bad at night (bring earplugs). it was tough to sleep. the breakfast was also a no-go. apparently, the owner had other plans and since i was the only guest, breakfast was cancelled. i thought, maybe a warning would have been nice.

sheila is a amazing hostess. i received a very warm welcome upon arrival. she paid close attention to my children.. they were sad to leave. sheila were very good too.
during my stay, i found that the street noise was very noticeable at night. it did make sleeping somewhat difficult.
