a somewhat lackluster stay

paper cupslack of water

The room felt smaller than expected. Almost like a cleverly disguised cupboard. i found the paper cups for coffee rather cheap. i also noticed a distinct lack of complimentary water. A detail i usually shrug off, but this time, it just added to the overall stinginess. maybe i'm just used to slightly more generous offerings. i definitely need a bigger room. this experience makes me think i'll skip this place next time. the overall experience didn't quite justify the price.

the location was convenient for travel.

the room's sound insulation was terrible, i heard every movement from neighboring rooms. doors opening and shutting were very loud. the roof panels near the door lifted with air movement. i found this frustrating .

the hotel's location was great for a stopover on a trip. the secure parking was a plus (i felt safe leaving my car overnight). breakfast had plenty of options. i especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice machine.

the hotel is showing its age. i noticed some minor wear and tear in the room.

the room included a comfortable bed and basic amenities. a shower-bathtub combination was available in the bathroom. the room size was adequate for one person.

the staff spoke english fluently and were helpful. i received discount vouchers for nearby restaurants (which was a nice perk). check-in was simple and fast. the receptionist was particularly friendly.

I found a couple of things less than excellent. First, the paper cups were quite cheap. I guess they're cutting costs somewhere. Only one bathrobe was there even though two of us stayed in the room. I assume they expect us to share it.
