lovely venue, staff and grounds
spacious room relaxing pool
the grounds are lovely and well maintained. my room was spacious and offered a view of the golf course. i found the pool area quite relaxing with a large pool (i enjoyed the sauna and steam room!).
i noted a slight smell in the hallway, i think the drains could use some attention. i hope the staff can address this issue soon .

i found every single member of staff to be attentive and professional. the staff were cute. their friendly and helpful attitude contributed positively to my overall experience.

The spa facilities are super clean. the spa has everything to help switch off for a few hours. the location is great. The building is fine (particularly the decor in the bar!).

my room included comfortable bedding and toiletries. the room was clean, well stocked and had bathrobes and slippers. the television offered a range of channels for entertainment (which was great in the evening).

The hotel has a distinct ambience and character. I loved the building. It is fine. The decor is luxurious. I appreciated my clean room, comfortable bed, and the quiet environment.
Radiators in my room were broken. The room seemed like a sauna. Staff were not helpful when I asked for assistance. I received a small fan, but it did not improve the temperature. This issue affected my stay considerably.

The staff were attentive from arrival. They offered help with bags. My beautiful room had a robe, slippers, and large TV. The bed was very comfortable.
Some music in the bar and lounge was not pleasant.

The rooms feature a large television with a USB port for easy connectivity. There are also comfortable beds and well-stocked minibars, which are definitely very convenient. The provided robes and slippers add to the relaxation.

The exterior boasts fine views of the river. There are well kept grounds for walks. Ample parking space is available for all guests, very convenient and free of charge.

pungent smell wet carpets
The garden and views were acceptable Arlene the receptionist was very cute.
The hotel room looked dated it had poor maintenance for a reputable hotel. I noticed a pungent smell of dampness in corridors because of wet carpets. The fire alarm went off twice during the night for a few seconds each time. I found this disruptive and worrying.
