Really good Hospitality and Comfort

The room was well-appointed and maintained to a high standard. The bathroom included both a shower and separate tub, a convenient feature. Breakfast offered smoked salmon and traditional options. The staff were great too ensure a seamless stay. They assisted with travel arrangements.

The bar music was slightly audible until late but it didn't affect my sleep.

A Family-Run gem on islay

The family greeted us so warmly. Their kindness shone brightly. They assisted us with dinner reservations even prior to our arrival. I found the breakfast delicious, with a great range of options. They even packaged a takeaway bacon buttie for me, as i left early for the ferry. The staff suggested many places to visit, broadening my islay experience.

The bar patrons smoke in the alleyway, right outside the bathroom window. It was loud even with the bathroom door closed

Breakfast included a wide variety of options. It kept me going all day. The father cooks breakfast there and it is tasty and well cooked. The Seafood Kitchen they own nearby is great. It's a must to book a table.

The room had facilities comparable to a great bed and breakfast. It included a coffee machine, though i did not use it. The heated floor in the bathroom was like A game-changer. A comfy bed ensured peaceful nights.

The hotel features a cosy informal bar and dining area. The location is good with a pub and restaurant just in front. The hotel is near restaurants. It is also near the islay Museum. Bruichladdich distillery is a 45-minute walk along the coastal path.

The staff were nice, helpful, and cute. They gave THE personal touch. Every day, i met someone else i liked. They were attentive. The MacLellans are all wonderful. They are a joy to talk to. The personnel were very cute.
