basic needsbadly designed shower

the food i eat was ok i guess. it met my basic needs i reckon.

the shower was badly designed. the door opened outward so the bathroom floor was soaked. glass wasnt fully attached, so water escaped everywhere.

I must say i found a couple of things rather irksome . first, the promised gourmet restaurant turned out to be a mirage available only on weekends. arriving midweek, i was stuck with a limited menu that barely grazed the gourmet label. secondly, the steak i ordered was so tough i reckon i could have resoled my shoes with it. Inedible to say the least.

i found a newly refurbished room. the room felt very plush. the hotel improvements show real care. i noted the new spa and swimming pool will open soon.

the outside appearance did not match the photos. this was only a minor issue. the inside was ok anyway.

this hotels location provides easy access to calais. the hotel benefits from being reasonably priced. reaching the calais terminals from here is very easy.

The shower design is flawed. The door opens outward. the wash basin lacked a plug. I lifted the cover to see how it worked and discovered slime and hairs. This indicated a failure to properly check the room before my arrival.
