Really good Stay, Location and Atmosphere

advantageous locationspacious roomclean roomquiet space
I found the location to be advantageous for seeing the sights. The room was spacious and quiet (a welcome respite), and it was also very clean. The food was particularly good, and the hotel bar was quite nice. I liked the private residents area. It was a bonus to have a quiet place for a coffee.
The room proved somewhat expensive, especially considering its dated features.
Rooms
9/10
The room provided was a good size with a comfortable bed. I noticed it was well kept. I appreciated the ample space and the level of cleanliness maintained throughout my visit. The quietness added positively to my rest.
Dining
8/10
I thought breakfast had excellent options available, including both hot and cold choices. The bar area had a good atmosphere with live music some evenings (which was a great touch). The lunch snacks served were also quite tasty.
Location
9/10
The hotel benefits from an excellent location providing easy access to nearby attractions. I was happy the setting seemed like a serene escape (almost like a Swiss chalet). Parking on site was convenient and plentiful.

soggy batterfrozen vegetables
The food left much to be desired . everything tasted as if it had come straight from the freezer and was priced as though it were freshly prepared. the battered fish was mostly soggy batter instead of fish. my wife's salmon arrived cold. The frozen vegetables next to it did not improve things.
