undercooked beef salty splodge
the Manager and staff WERE clean and very cute.
the beef MAIN course cost £42 and included four thin slices. the beef was slightly undercooked. A salty black garlic splodge overpowered EVERYTHING.

the rooms were comfortable. they were well appointed and stylish. they had generous size and thoughtful layout.
the food didn't match the beautiful grounds. the beef main course was expensive. it was not cooked as requested. my flat white was cold.

a superb stay
charming cottage helpful staff
the cottage felt charming and spacious (i especially liked the decor). the staff was helpful. richard took us on day excursions and his knowledge of scotland made those trips fascinating.
the bedroom area lacked storage space. there was no wardrobe. i found no mirrors in the room itself.

the cottage featured a well-stocked kitchen with modern appliances and a large seating area. the free standing bath was in the bedroom. several magazines and books were available.

underwhelming food experience
undercooked beef cold coffee
The grounds looked nice. The food quality did NOT match the price. The beef main course cost £42 but included only thin slices of undercooked beef. A salty black garlic overwhelmed everything, and there was no starch, I REALLY expected more. The flat white coffee was also served cold.

efficient service large kitchen amazing service
the breakfast service was very efficient and the restaurant staff were helpful. my room had a large kitchen and also a lovely fireplace. the fitting room was very nice!
