The host, edwina, booked a table at the pub nearby. That was very helpful. the room was clean and functional, a real plus. breakfast included a full english option, very satisfying. i found the bed to be comfortable.
The interior decorating appears old and could benefit from refurbishment. I noted this .

The lodge is within walking distance of local shops and a train station. this made it easy to get around and access what i needed daily. That was great.

The room was spacious and very clean. I appreciated the attention to detail. the accommodation felt homely. everything was well kept and added to the pleasant experience.

The breakfast was good with a full spread of cereals, toast, and preserves.
The outside bar had cobwebs. Clearly, it had not been used in a while. A lot of facilities in the description relate to the hotel instead of the room. Sound will travel through the doors if you have noisy neighbors. Bedding sheets had a few stains

edwina made reservations at the local pub for me. the pub food was great. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. breakfast was also good, there was a full range of cereals and toast. i eat a full english breakfast.
there was a resident cat. i have allergies and wasn't happy with it. the interior is old and needs updating. the outside bar had many cobwebs. it hasn't been used in a long time.

The room was spacious. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was also large with a great bath (I really enjoyed it). The owner really thinks of everything and is very cute.
The interior decorating is old and requires refurbishment. Although it was a room for two, there was only one chair in it. (It would be nice to have another one)
