Excellent stay with rooftop pool and convenient shuttle

i found the staff very warm. the shuttle service to downtown and the beach was convenient (it runs regularly). the room was spacious. the breakfast selection was very good with both thai and western options available until 10:30 am.
i noticed the extra beds were not as comfortable as the regular beds. the king size bed had very nice bed linen, so the difference was noticeable.

mixed feelings about my stay

the rooftop pool area was acceptable with a decent amount of loungers.
the room i booked, a superior double or twin room, was not clean. i found hairs in the bathroom and dust on many surfaces , even after housekeeping supposedly cleaned. the general upkeep felt neglected , and it detracted from the experience.

The shuttle service to the beach area and Village Market was very convenient. Taxis were not readily available because the hotel is a few kilometers from town. Breakfast was also great. It included different local soups and foods each day. some western options (I loved the variety).
The room was quite dusty. I even wrote in the dust and it remained after the room was supposedly cleaned. The jets in the bathtub were filthy. I had to clean the bath myself before I could use it again.

the room was enormous, the beautiful double room with spa bath. i found a jacuzzi, a HUGE bed, and a calming balcony. housekeeping did a nice job.
i DISLIKED the noise of slippers on the floor, its loud. the slippers, while practical, could be quieter.

The staff were friendly, always ready to help. they arranged a shuttle to the center, a VERY convenient service. i loved the staff attitude. They seemed like family.

The restaurant food felt fresh. i ate korean vegetarian food one night. It had amazing flavors. the restaurant is located on the rooftop bar, and cocktails were addictive.
