a gem in the trossachs
good furnishing cute proprietor panoramic view
The hotel is delightfully furnished. proprietors are very cute and took time to talk to guests. the restaurant had panoramic views. These were worth the trip. i felt it was a gem.
Driving at night to get there proved a little challenging. I recommend arriving before dark.

The hotel is located close to national route 7. Overnight bike storage was good. the evening meal matched the location. it was really tasty and well presented.

the staff provided perfect service and attention. breakfast and dinner are served facing out over the lake from a private dining room. a hot tub sits up the hill offering views of the lake.

a okay, i guess
limited view abandoned bath
the room they gave me, a "double room lake view", it barely had a lake view. you have to crane your neck and squint past a tree to see a sliver. and the outdoor bath, what a joke, it was empty and seemed abandoned. such a shame, because the photos made it look all luxurious and relaxing. i wouldn't get your hopes up for a scenic soak.

The breakfast included a GENEROUS selection. The lounge area had a fireplace and many comfy sofas.
The hotel had facilities limited purposely. It lacked a tv.

minimal view huge disappointment
the food was acceptable, and the breakfast offered sufficient options.
I was frustrated the lake view from my room was minimal. It barely existed. the hot tub was a huge disappointment because it wasn't even filled with water, so i couldn't use it! i expected a relaxing soak, but got nothing.

scenic location outdoor hot tub good dinner attentive service
The location was indeed really good. i especially enjoyed the hot tub, it offered a great view. dinner was also great, expertly prepared with fresh ingredients. the service was attentive. The staff remembered my preferences.
the wi-fi signal was a little weak in certain areas of the hotel, but it was a very minor inconvenience

the hotel sits a few steps from the enchanting loch ard. the surroundings provide total serenity. the village shop is only a short drive, very practical.

pretty decent stay overall
hot tub lake view comfy solarium private dining room missing tv limited facilities spotty wifi
The hotel grounds include a hot tub! it sat up on a hill with views of the lake. I really enjoyed that. the living room had a very comfy solarium. I sat there one afternoon and read, it was dope. breakfast was available, it faced out over the lake from a private dining room! the food was superb.
the hotel didn't have a tv! i found that pretty inconvenient because i like watching the news in the morning. i found the facilities limited, i guess that's on purpose. i thought the wifi was kinda spotty, it made it hard to get some work done
