Acceptable but Road Noise a Problem

The lodge had a few issues. Room proportions seemed off. The kitchen was large, but the living room felt small. Constant road noise interrupted sleep at night. I expected peace at this retreat.

The lodge was well-equipped with everything needed in the kitchen. It had a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle.

The sofa was not comfortable. i ended up watching tv from the bed. the noise from the nearby airport (oxford) was very loud. Frequent planes and helicopters flew over, which didn't provide the promised tranquil stay.

The receptionist was nice enough. That is something.

The noise was a bit much. the lodge sits close to two roads. You can hear trucks. the noise was not relaxing. the living room lighting consisted of overly bright spotlights. they provided no way to dim the brightness. It was like an office.
