decent stay, some issues
low water pressure outdated decor
the breakfast offered a lot of choices with fresh ingredients.
the shower pressure was too low. (i expect more from a hotel). also, the hallway smelled like old carpet. the outdated decor and curtains did not block out enough light for sleeping after sunrise.

Thomas, the owner, was very nice and patient. He provided detailed explanations about the hotel and breakfast. Staff members were good. They were always happy to help. The food was lovely and met my needs to start my day.
I noticed the shower didn't produce as much water as I prefer.

The room was spacious and clean. Beds were well-equipped. The updated restroom included new fixtures. USB ports located next to the bed were a nice convenience.

Onsite parking was available and greatly appreciated. The hotel provided easy access for walking around the area. Adapters for the electrical outlets were available for the entire stay. This was very helpful.

The location was close to good walks and restaurants. It was also a great spot for trips around the island. Being in the town center provided easy access to local amenities.

Breakfast was really good and fresh. It included a wide variety of choices. I ate Scottish specialty dishes, including haggis. Black pudding was especially tasty. The breakfast experience was personalized.

friendly staff cozy room central location
the staff was friendly. every staff member was good. they were always happy to help! i was like i had a little home away from home! the room was warm and cozy. location was central to town.
all stairs made access slightly tiring.

breakfast was awesome!!! i had a good selection of options. it was exactly what i needed to start my day. they even made me a takeaway breakfast box one day as i had to leave early.

the owners were super nice, especially thomas. he advised me on which tour to do. thomas was very helpful. he explained in detail the hotel and breakfast. i arrived late, but he welcomed me warmly.

the hotel is in the very city center. it is close to shops, restaurants, and bars. the hotel's location made it easy to get around. i could easily walk to local attractions!!!

street noise window insulation
The location was quite central , and the parking was surprisingly convenient.
I found the room rather stuffy , and adjusting the temperature was a problem. the noise from the street was more noticeable than I would have liked . Sleep quality suffered a bit. I think the window insulation should be upgraded to reduce the disturbance.
