The location was great. I enjoyed views from the balcony (it was nice). The breakfast offered a good variety of choices.
The receptionist were smoking outside upon my arrival. This did not create a very cute impression. I also found the hotel to be quite outdated. The shower felt small (i found it difficult to move).

The location offered easy access to the ferry. The Italian restaurant located in the hotel was convenient for dinner. The front desk prepared a ham sandwich for me since I had to leave before breakfast. I appreciated that gesture.
The waitress who checked me in seemed rude. She stated that carrying luggage to the second floor was "just one floor. " The waitress also took salt from my table without asking. That was inconvenient. The service was poor overall.

the location was prime, it's a shame the same couldn't be said for everything ELSE.
The room i got was a far cry from what i saw online, a 'small studio' it was called, though cramped felt more accurate. the kitchenette was barley functional, only one of the burners worked. worst of all, the noise. I could hear everything, from the street outside to the people in the rooms around me. SLEEP was HARD TO come by.

The apartment had two balconies. One allowed us to see the sunrise over the mountains. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. I could see the castle and church lit up at night from there.
The hotel decor is a bit dated.

The hotel's Italian restaurant was quite nice. I enjoyed a really good pizza for dinner one evening. Free coffee was available 24 hours a day, a great perk after a long day.

The hotel is situated near the pier. It is also close to Spiez castle and the bus station. The hotel's location allows you to easily access the lake. You can take a refreshing swim there.
