The room WAS comfortable, especially the bed. I also appreciate the quick and efficient room service. My requests i made received prompt attention. I found the view from the balcony SO beautiful. It really enhanced my stay.

i found the food to be really good. it was beautifully presented. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. the location was spot on.

The evening meal was excellent. I also found the location of the hotel to be quite advantageous with the views across the estuary toward Appledore. It was an enjoyable experience. I look forward to a return visit soon.
On arrival, I noticed the approach to the room had a door at the top of the stairs in an awkward position. The room I stayed in was smaller than I preferred. It was acceptable. I am in my 60s. I found the bathroom to be small and a little awkward too.

The room had a large balcony facing the front (i really enjoyed that). the room was also warm. complimentary drinks and chocolates arrived, a welcome surprise. the restaurant stood out. Every meal was really good.
the fire door at the top of the stairs was difficult to open. it might be a struggle for some older people. a lift would be a great benefit.

the hotel enjoys magnificent views across the river. a short, five-minute walk from the hotel takes you to the beach. the views from the rooms facing the sea are really fantastic.
