Really good Stay in Bowness
superb location on-site parking mini fridge room fan
The location is superb. It is a short walk to local shops and restaurants. Parking on site was particularly convenient (a definite plus for me). The room had a mini fridge, which i found useful. A fan in the room provided relief during the warm weather.
The shower was a little small.

The hosts were cute and accommodating. Breakfast service involved pre-ordering the evening before. The breakfast staff were attentive, and i found them to be friendly (i enjoyed chatting with them).

breakfast pre-order small shower
the location is a short walk to the town, acceptable.
the breakfast arrangement was not ideal. i had to pre-order the full english the night before, without knowing what i might want. the shower was also small.

the guesthouse had private parking a short walk from the town center. the superior double room featured a super king bed it was spotlessly clean. i appreciated the fridge and fan during the heatwave. breakfast was delicious each morning

small shower lack of cleaning
the location was acceptable, close to the town center.
Ordering breakfast was like an interrogation. I had to fill out forms the night before. the bathroom was quite small, especially the shower. also, the room wasn't cleaned . Only the bins were emptied and tea was restocked.

some issues noted
rigid breakfast system bathroom cleaning
Breakfast felt oddly rigid. I received four forms to pre-order for a full english or boiled eggs. it felt strange to plan the next morning's meal the night before. the bathroom cleanliness was also not up to par. over four days, the bathroom and toilet weren't cleaned. Only bins were emptied and tea and coffee supplies replenished.

The location is excellent, within walking distance to local amenities.
I found the breakfast arrangement inconvenient. I had to pre-order from a limited menu the night before with a specific time slot. The breakfast time options were too restricted, from 8:30 to 9:00 AM, which I found inflexible.
