The location proved perfect for restful walks. the staff were friendly and helpful. i received a larger room upon arrival to fit my dog. It accommodated her perfectly.
i found a small plate for the money when dining in the bar, it lacked flavour. this was a disappointing end to an otherwise good stay.

The location offered fine hillside views. The beer garden was expansive and integrated with a nature reserve. I enjoyed the homemade steak and ale pie, packed with beef. Breakfast was also a highlight, with perfectly cooked poached eggs.
The room was a little on the bijou side.
