mixed experience at this hotel
acceptable locationthrobbing noisefull car park
the location was acceptable.
the staff seemed stretched due to a busy event lasting until 1 pm. this throbbing noise carried through, despite thick stone walls. the car park was also full, even after being assured there would be ample space.

i received an upgrade upon arrival, that was so great. the owners were friendly and very helpful . i could have my two dogs with me. the parking was free and easy to access.
the curtains needed a little attention, they were coming off the track. the roller blind in the bathroom also needed fixing. these were minor things though.

my room had a comfortable bed and a super shower. the bathroom was quite large. it provided a quiet space, perfect for a restful nights sleep .

the breakfast was generous, and they even made poached eggs for me, i liked it a lot. i found the restaurant food to be 100% and it was really tasty. the hotel restaurant is very popular and well attended.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues

I was disappointed with some aspects. The walls seemed thin. Noise from other rooms was quite noticeable. The breakfast service felt understaffed and slow and I had to wait a long time for my order. I think improvements in soundproofing and staffing would greatly benefit guests.

the room was a great size. it was decorated well and very clean. every member of staff i met was warm and friendly! the food was AMAZING!!!
the stairs were steep and narrow. the steps were uneven and i actually fell on my way up. the floor also needs some work.
