the location offered easy access to the main areas. i found a balcony with a view of the matterhorn, i really appreciated this. the room gave off a cozy alpine chalet feel, lovely.
I found that the walls were a bit thin. I could hear neighbors talking and walking.

the location was great. it was close to the main areas, but also very quiet. all amenities were nearby, and the railway station was a short walk.
The walls seemed thin. i could hear neighbors talking. breakfast cost chf 30 per person. It was not great at all.

Convenient Ski Base

The location is great if you plan to ski, as it is quite close to the bus stop. This bus takes you to the funicular for Sunegga, and the train for Gornergrat, that was convienient. Facilities include a ski room for equipment storage and the hotel is in a central location. This is a no frills place to base yourself to ski from.
Hallways were pretty dirty, that was a minor problem. Our friend's single room was a little bit sub-par, that created a bad impression.

The staff was excellent and very helpful. They assisted with directions and provided useful information about local attractions and transportation. Their positive attitude was nice, though sometimes a little slow.

The hotel is only 5 kilometers from the Gornergrat ridge and ten minutes from the train station. It is close to the church and Matterhorn viewpoint bridge, that offers nice opportunities for photography. Finding places to eat is easy due to a central location.

the location was central but quiet it was near the main areas. amenities were close by it was a short walk to the railway station. i found the luggage storage and lounge area useful after checkout it was nice to have.
check-in happened at a hotel next door it was a little confusing. the hallways looked pretty dirty to me. i had to carry my luggage up at least one flight of stairs.
