helpful staff comfortable bed fluffy towels
The location IS great for walking. The staff were helpful. The bedroom had a REALLY comfortable bed and fluffy towels.
The carpet was not clean at all.

A decent stay overall
friendly staff good beer dirty bathroom shower upgrade
The location is good, lots of things were within walking distance. The beer was really good! The staff was accommodating and friendly, so it was easy to ask for help.
My room was not properly cleaned, some hairs were on the floor in the bathroom on arrival. The shower also needs an upgrade. The condition was not ideal.

Excellent Experience at a Classic Inn
friendly staff helpful suggestions clean room excellent food
The staff was friendly and offered helpful suggestions for local walks. My room was clean, spacious, and VERY comfortable. Breakfast had a large selection, cooked perfectly to my liking. The restaurant provided excellent food at reasonable prices .

The breakfast included many options, cooked to order, and served promptly. The restaurant menu had plenty of variety, with dishes prepared using FRESH, local ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the roast lunch. The selection of vegetables was fantastic.

My Beautiful Double Room featured ample space and COMFORTABLE furnishings. The bed was large and very comfortable, promising a restful night. The room had all necessary amenities, which i liked.

The inn provided free parking, a GREAT benefit in this area. A lovely terrace and garden were available. The location offered easy access to Dartmoor walks and local attractions, so i did walks every day.

The staff was attentive and genuinely wanted guests to have an enjoyable experience. They provided helpful advice about local walks and attractions. Their cute attitude and professionalism. I will recommend them.

a mixed experience
dark room upset dog
My dog stayed in the dog friendly room. the room was really dark. Lights were needed all the time. staff walked past each morning. This upset my dog, and for £80+ per night i wasn't impressed!

Acceptable, but improvements needed
dirty bathroom small sheet
The location offered easy parking just outside.
The room I was assigned needed more thorough cleaning. There were hairs in the bathroom upon my arrival. The shower clearly required an upgrade, and the carpet was not clean, an UNACCEPTABLE oversight. The provided sheet was also too small for the bed. initially, I was given the wrong room.
