The meal routine felt very regimented. I felt rushed through dinner with no time to chat and enjoy myself. Then I was ushered into the lounge again to make space for the next guests. What a production.

i found the room spacious. the bed felt supremely comfortable. the view was amazing. staff gave excellent service. i appreciated the canapés in the lounge before dinner. dining was a lovely touch. i certainly recommend.
i think quiet background music would make the lounge more vibrant.

I really appreciated the tasteful furniture and decor throughout the hotel. Bookshelves were everywhere, even in my room. breakfast was a highlight with good quality items served directly to the table. It wasn't buffet style. the hotel is just a short walk from the town centre, tucked away on a road. i enjoyed the thoughtful touch of the stuffed owl. It indicated i didn't want to be disturbed.
the walk from town involves a bit of a hill, and navigating the narrow streets in the dark was a bit challenging.

The shower temperature fluctuated unexpectedly from freezing to boiling, very unpleasant. It also took a long time to warm up, inconvenient. I noticed a sign in the bathroom, so it seems this is a recurring issue.

faulty showersmall room
the shower didn't work correctly. temperature changed from freezing to boiling without warning. a sign in the bathroom said this was a known issue. i expect a working shower, especially at that price. room size also disappointed me. it felt smaller than i anticipated.
