Fantastic Location and Comfortable Stay
clean room comfortable bed prime location
My room was very clean. The bed felt comfortable. I appreciated the Diptyque bath products provided. The vintage elevator was a pleasant surprise and worked well, it maintained its historic charm. I really valued the hotel's great location. There were many restaurants and cafes nearby. Union Square and Chinatown were each just a short walk away.
The walls are somewhat thin, I occasionally heard noises from the corridor.

Many options for meals exist near the hotel. Cafe Central is nearby. It provides good breakfasts with plenty of variety. Free coffee is available in the lobby each morning. This is a great perk. I found this very convenient.

The room decor was attractive and individual. My king bed came with large pillows. The hotel provides plenty of towels. A shower robe was available for my use. It was very convenient. The air conditioning worked well.

a generally positive stay
early check-in air conditioning early arrival broken elevator rude staff damaged elevator
i arrived early after a long flight. they allowed me to check in almost 3 hours early because my room was ready. this was great and MUCH appreciated. the aircon worked wonderfully and kept the room at a comfortable temperature.
the elevator was not working . i was not informed about this until AFTER i checked in and was heading to the fifth floor. the daytime desk staff acted like the presence of guests was a major nuisance to them. it really put a damper on the stay.

The location was ideal! The staff was very friendly and helpful . My room had a fridge. That was very convenient. The pillows were definitely better than most hotels. I believe they contained feather and down.
My room needed a bit more attention to cleaning. I saw a toothpaste mark on the bathroom mirror that wasn't cleaned .

the staff was genuinely helpful, especially with directions (i was definitely lost a few times!). the king suite was spacious. i found convenient parking near the hotel, it made getting around easier.
