peeling wallpaper foam mattress
The location was fine. But the room felt a bit outdated. The wallpaper was peeling in places and the furniture seemed mismatched. the mattress was a simple foam one on a metal frame. This setup wasn't ideal for comfort or accessibility.

an really good stay
room upgrade stream view cosy pub
I really appreciated the room upgrade to the superior king room. the space was generous, clean, and offered a lovely view of the stream and trees. the pub downstairs was cosy. It was relaxing.
the only slight inconvenience i encountered was the absence of air conditioning in the room. despite the fan provided, the room became quite warm during the day. it would greatly improve the comfort of future stays, especially during warmer months.

the hotel features well kept grounds with ample seating areas for enjoying a drink or a meal outdoors. safe parking is available, a great convenience for those traveling by motorcycle or car.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They offered assistance with bags upon arrival. alan, the manager, was particularly helpful and provided assistance with phone chargers during a minor vehicle issue.

the pub offered a good choice of tasty and reasonably priced food, including a very tasty breakfast. the sunday dinner and pie for easter lunch were excellent!!! the garden next to the river provided a beautiful setting for enjoying meals.

The room faced the river. I found it very relaxing. the full english breakfast included top standard ingredients. it was a great way to start the day. i appreciated the peaceful location among fields.
the evening meal menu was a little restricted in my opinion.

underwhelming stay
peeling wallpaper greasy fish
the location was suitable for my plans to explore the area.
my room felt dated with peeling wallpaper i also noticed cheap non matching furniture the foam mattress sat on an ikea metal frame the evening meal disappointed me greasy fish was undercooked served with only 7 chips i found this experience poor
