sullen staff dirty bathroom floor
I had booked three rooms for three nights. i received a call that there was a water issue. the restaurant was closed that night and breakfast was limited. the next morning, nobody knew if the water problem would be fixed. we received no compensation or alternative lodging. the staff was sullen and unhelpful. We never received a smile. the bathroom floor wasn't cleaned . it was generally a tired, shabby place.

Lovely Hotel with Cute Staff

excellent location cute staff comfortable stay
The location is excellent, right in the heart of the area, and a good spot to use as a base to visit other places. I also found plenty of eateries in the town to choose from. Breakfast was excellent. I wish I had taken a photo of my beautiful scrambled eggs. I will return.
The room I had was a little on the dark side. I had to keep the lights on during the daytime. I mentioned this to the staff as I left.

The room felt a bit cramped because the bed was too large i also found the shower cubicle far too small for comfort. the vegetarian breakfasts were overly complicated with unnecessary spreads. the coffee was unfortunately bland and weak. It did not meet my expectations.

damp smell bad drain
I found a strong damp smell in the wardrobe cupboard. I couldn't use it for hanging clothes. the shower took ages to heat up. A sign explained this, though every time i adjusted the temperature, it went cold for a couple of minutes. once i finished showering, there was a bad drain smell i did not appreciate.
