strong smell dirty carpets
the pub had a STRONG awful smell i noticed it immediately it smelled like dirty carpets it needs cleaning. i could not stand it there longer than one pint. i am surprised nobody mentioned it before maybe they are just too polite

unpleasant smell lacking cleanliness
The location was convenient being close to the train station.
The pub had a noticeable strong, unpleasant smell. It reminded me of a dirty cellar. I also found cleanliness lacking, giving me the impression that the room wasn't properly cleaned.

Excellent service and friendly staff

The super nice team, and I fully enjoyed my stay. Check-in was swift and straightforward. Bottled water was ready for me in the room. Breakfast was as advertised, and I asked for a different option on the second day. I was amply accommodated. The staff were very accommodating and understanding.
I noticed that my bedroom windows were 'cleaned' at just before 8am by a bloke with a squeegee on a long pole. The thud at the window was a shock.

The location was good, especially due to its easy reach of the train station. This made it a convenient choice for my travels. The proximity to transportation hubs greatly simplified my travel arrangements. IT WAS a definite plus.
