The location proved excellent. It allowed easy access to Derwent Water, a mere short walk. The hosts supplied fresh milk and a selection of teas in the room. They also provided luggage storage on my first and last day, so I could explore freely.
The shower temperature was tricky to adjust, but I managed.

friendly host fresh milk dietary requirement poor shower difficult control unpleasant experience
The hosts were very friendly. They were great too accommodate me. My room was clean upon my arrival. The hosts provided chilled fresh milk, a nice touch. Breakfast was great, I had a full English. The host took great care to ensure my dietary requirements were met!!!
The shower wasn't the best. The controls were hard to get to the right temperature. It was difficult to turn it on. I will say that this was an unpleasant experience.

friendly welcome quality furniture quality ingredients
We found a friendly welcome upon arrival. the room was decorated nicely. Spotlessly clean with good quality furniture. we had pancakes with fresh fruit, maple syrup, and cream.. they used really good quality ingredients. i will definitely stay again if i am in the area.
the shower wasn't the best as controls were hard to get to the right temperature.

Fantastic Stay in a Wonderful Location

The location proved very convenient near the tunnel to the center and the main car park. I appreciated the proximity to lakeside activities. The availability of fresh milk daily added a nice personal touch. The guest welcome pack provided an insightful look into the building's history.
I encountered an issue with the shower. The controls were a little difficult to manage in order to get the right temperature, that was annoying

the location was convenient with easy access to nearby attractions breakfast included a tasty vegetarian option which i appreciated
the shower temperature was difficult to regulate it fluctuated between hot and cold the room felt quite small there wasn't enough space for my luggage i requested extra pillows but never received them , made sleep uncomfortable

wonderful stay in a great location

crisp bedding fresh towels homemade jam
I felt very welcomed. the cleanliness was perfect, with crisp bedding and fresh towels (a definite plus). the breakfast was delicious, with a wide choice of options prepared with local produce. I particularly enjoyed the homemade jam.
the shower controls were a little difficult to manage in order to get the temperature just right.
