The dinner at the hotel restaurant was AMAZING!!! The lamb shank included mashed potatoes and vegetables. The burger was one of the BEST burgers I ever had. The server was friendly and helpful.
The bathroom had a REALLY sweaty smell. It looked clean, BUT the smell was REALLY bad. I spoke to the staff, and they cleaned it when I left, but it was still bad later.

the location is good, about thirty minutes from jokuslaron lagoon. it increases your chances of seeing the northern lights because there are few light sources around. everything was clean, and the breakfast was very good.
The quality did not match the price, our room was in a container. there was zero sound insulation. I could hear everything. the price seemed excessive. I stayed in other places for half the cost and with much better quality.

The room looked much better than I expected. The outside buildings seemed a bit older. The inside looked very nice and renovated. All clean, I thank them for that. The receptionist welcomed us very nicely. He spoke at least four languages. He had a huge smile and was patient. He knew how to multitask, because he served six different customers almost at the same time. He gave advice and acted as a waiter..
The quality didn't match the price. My room was in a container. I could hear everything. Even someone walking down the hallway. The price was excessive. I stayed in other places for half the cost and with better quality. This accommodation required an ID and a credit card for a deposit upon arrival. The quality of the breakfast was meagre. The facilities were not well maintained. The windows had no shutter. This is bad design for the curtain, annoying when there is 24 hours of sun. The bathroom had a poorly designed. There was a broken floor in the shower and a cracked sink.

superb hotel stay!
delicious foodvaried menuunpleasant smell
i enjoyed my stay. the restaurant was excellent, providing delicious food and a varied menu, i found the location ideal for exploring nearby attractions. the staff readily provided a bag lunch for a planned hiking trip in the park near by.
the bathroom had an unpleasant smell, even after it was cleaned, this issue recurred a few hours later. i suggest the hotel investigates the source of this odour to enhance guest comfort.

The location is convenient when visiting the Jokulsarlon area. The beds were comfortable. I had two pillows and that was very helpful.
The receptionist mixed up my reservation and gave my room to somebody else. I was annoyed by this as I ended up not getting what I had originally reserved. The room had a small window and it was quite dark. The bathroom sink is badly designed and it is not possible to prevent splashing water.
