empty minibarthreadbare towels
The 'superior double room' i booked turned out to be less superior than advertised, with a distinct lack of promised views. the minibar was empty, a detail i found particularly offensive after a long day of travel. the absence of complimentary snacks reminded me of a personal insult. the ancient television only showed static. I think it predated color broadcasting. the threadbare towels completed the underwhelming experience. i guess they thought i wouldn't notice these small things. oh, and that rickety chair! honestly, i nearly ended up on the floor!

The hotel's location was very central. It allowed easy access to various attractions. The breakfast included many options and especially good scrambled eggs were available. I chose to eat in the room and the service was prompt. The bed offered great comfort for rest.
The room was small. The bathroom had limited space.

fantastic central stay!
perfect locationwelcome drinkmusty smell
I loved how close the hotel was to the pedestrian zone. Exploring was super easy! the welcome drink was a lovely touch. breakfast was great (especially the scrambled eggs made to order!).
the bathroom had a slight musty smell. air freshener helped, but fixing the source would be even better. this didn't ruin my stay, but it's something to improve.

The staff were always very friendly and eager to assist, always smiling. they provided helpful directions and suggestions for local attractions. i was especially grateful for their quick response when i needed an extra pillow. It arrived within minutes.
