solid experience, small snag
unique charm friendly staff easy process
the room had a unique charm, and the hotel was beautiful. check-in and check-out was simple. every staff member i met was both friendly and helpful. i found this very comforting.
i noticed some of the room's featured items were not fully functional. i had to rely on my personal cell for some things.

the room i booked included two beds. the hotel's location is in the lower part of the old area, and that means walking uphill to reach the frontenac.

a restaurant connects to the building, named il matto italian. it seemed quite popular! i observed many patrons enjoying their meals, and the atmosphere felt lively and cute.

Balanced Experience
friendly staff central location small room outdated furniture
I found the staff were quite friendly. They were helpful with directions and recommendations. I also liked the location, it made it easy to walk to many attractions. The building was beautiful. I enjoyed the architecture.
The room I had was rather small. I felt there was a weird smell coming from the rug. The furniture seemed outdated to me. the bathroom esthetics did not match the room.

adequate stay with some issues
unstable temperature inadequate soundproofing
The shower situation was frustrating. i had trouble getting the water temperature right. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold. also, the soundproofing seemed inadequate. i could hear conversations and noise from adjacent rooms. this was a serious problem.

great location fantastic linens fantastic toiletries cramped room rude staff limited space
the location was great. it was easy to walk to all the sites. the linens and toiletries were fantastic. breakfast was too.
the room felt cramped. there was little space for anything. the staff, especially cleaners, seemed rude. one server didn't even say goodbye when i left the restaurant.

missing closet insufficient space
The staff provided assistance with luggage both upon arrival and departure it was satisfactory.
The room lacked a closet I found this quite inconvenient for hanging clothes . The bathroom was not well-equipped there were no additional toiletries available nor was there sufficient space for personal items in the bathroom.
