On-Site Activities & Experiences

Guests learn to mush with Huskies at the dog kennel located next to the lodge, with all activities starting at the front door. The lodge offers daily guided tours such as snowmobiling, husky sledding, snowshoe hikes, ice fishing, and visits to a reindeer farm and Sami village. Free use of skis, kicksleds, and snowshoes is included, and the hotel provides professional insulated rental clothing (boots, pants, jacket, balaclava) at no extra charge.

Dining & Meals

The on-site restaurant serves daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner in shifts, with a focus on local cuisine and options for vegetarians and guests with intolerances. The three-course New Year's Eve dinner included a torch-lit walk to a fire on the tundra, followed by fireworks and cava. Complimentary breakfast buffet is provided each morning, and the bar offers beer and drinks at standard Scandinavian prices.

The lodge offers ground-floor units with private bathrooms, walk-in showers, parquet floors, wardrobes, and seating areas; cabins include a fireplace and a small kitchenette with fridge and electric kettle. The Aurora Suite provides a snowy view from the room, and all rooms include a private entrance. The hotel is located 124 km from Kiruna Airport and offers a paid airport shuttle service to and from the airport. Reception staff speak German, English, Italian, and Swedish, and can assist with booking optional excursions like cross-country skiing and gemstone crafting. The lodge is set in Lannavaara, surrounded by scenic natural landscapes and local cycling and hiking trails.
