charming harbor view retreat

I secured a spot with fantastic views overlooking the harbor. The proximity to the ferries to the islands was indeed useful. the large, comfortable bed ensured restful nights, and the staff accommodated my last-minute guest addition very efficiently. i also appreciated the modern room decor that contrasted nicely with the hotel's exterior.
The air conditioning was difficult to adjust. The room temperature was not ideal.

the breakfast was acceptable for a short stay.
the room had a persistent musty smell. i suspect it came from the old carpeting (.. ) the air conditioning unit was also quite noisy. furthermore, the outdated bathroom fixtures showed significant wear, including cracked tiles and a leaky faucet.
