Ancient Building with a Story!

I enjoyed the staff. They were so kind. My room was fabulous, and the beds were super comfy. Everything was spotlessly clean, thanks!
There wasn't any breakfast included, but the kitchen did stop serving pizzas early. The Wi-Fi wasn't very good. It kept cutting out!

This place is located right next to the cliff railway and the bridge. I walked easily into town from the quiet road. I walked along lovely riverside, cool.

The location was perfect next to the river. The cliff railway was nearby for easy access to the top of the town. our room had lovely wooden beams. They really added character. i found the staff very helpful and kind.
The bathroom sealant had peeled away. i noticed the toilet cistern was cracked. It could use some maintenance.

peeling paint narrow stairs
The location was good and close to amenities.
The room was quite worn and tired. Cupboard doors were off, and paint was peeling in places. This was a letdown. I also found the stairs difficult. They were very narrow and steep. I would not stay here again.

The stairs were very steep (I wasn't aware of this beforehand). I think an extra blanket in the room would have been useful, as it was a little cold.

helpful staff riverside location missing towels guest noise
The location was near the river, which I liked. Staff were helpful and I found the setting lovely. It was great that the location was near the river.
I noticed there were no towels in the room, and no one was available to assist. I could hear other guests which affected my stay.

helpful staff excellent location cozy environment
my room include kettle. the staff were helpful. the location near the river proves excellent. 'ye olde' feel provides a cozy environment, and i like the oak beams. i could enjoy the funicular railway.
room 2 had poor flooring and loud music at night.
