mixed feelings about this lodge
wrong glasscold shower
The bar experience wasn't great. I ordered a glass of red wine but it came in a white wine glass, also they charged a service fee. i also had to use my bath towels at the swimming pool. this meant after a swim, i had a wet, chlorine-smelling towel for a shower, and that shower had cold water.

limited menuworn look
I found some things not up to par. My room lacked water. the pillows needed replacement, as they lost their shape. A limited menu disappointed me, even though the food tasted fine. Some parts of the hotel looks a little worn.

the location is great. the rooms are clean. i found the staff friendly when i needed help. breakfast was superb (especially the pastries!).
the pool area needs some serious updating. the pool is open to the public which i didn't realize when i booked. the pool area could use some new paint and maybe a new layout.

The restaurant offered tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere. The room had complimentary chocolates. Parking was easy and convenient. I found available spots each time I needed them.
The room needed updating. Specifically, there were limited sockets and none were near the bed for overnight charging of devices.

The hotel is close to a next door racing stable. I was able to watch the horses from my room. The hotel is iconic in the area. This feature provided a unique and nice experience.

The room was very clean and had air conditioning. This kept the space comfortable. Beds were comfortable. A fridge was present in the room. Fresh milk was also available.

The breakfast offered different options. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order. I enjoyed it very much. The staff were also friendly during breakfast.
