Acceptable B&B Experience

clean room plenty storage great breakfast website advertisement double bed bedroom count

The room was clean. It had plenty of storage for unpacking suitcases. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. The hosts were also lovely and hospitable.

I did not get what was advertised. The website showed two bedrooms with double beds. It also showed a lounge. The accommodation actually featured one bedroom with a double bed and a lounge.

limited mountain view faulty tv remote

the room, i think they call it 'superior double or twin room mountain view', was mostly fine. however, the promised mountain view was mostly of the carpark. and the tv remote, it seemed to have a mind of its own. channels changed randomly, and the volume would go up and down. also, the shower pressure was more of a gentle suggestion than an actual shower.

charming stay

lovely hosts plenty storage great breakfast

jo and frank were real darlings and so hospitable. jo just couldn't do enough for us, . our room was quite well appointed, with plenty of storage for actually unpacking our suitcases. breakfast tasted great, they have many options too.

the staircase felt a little narrow to carry my luggage.

the location is great, quite close to restaurants and bars, helpful. it has lovely views directly from the rooms too. the parking is off the road, always a bonus.

the breakfast is very good here, with a pleasing amount of choice. i really enjoyed the fresh fruit and yogurt they had available. the dining room features quirky decorative items to look at.

perfect stay with wonderful hosts

fine view flat screen

the room had a great open view of the fells behind (just what you need!). it included two chairs and a sofa for us to sit and gaze at the fine views or at the large flat screen television. i had a great night's sleep in the king sized bed. we returned only two weeks after our very first visit.

jo and frank were amazing hosts and they took great pleasure in making my stay enjoyable. they greeted us warmly and professionally upon arrival. jo could not have been more helpful with activity suggestions. we were able to park our car well before our check in time.

i enjoyed a lovely freshly made breakfast in the beautiful dining room. the dining room also offered fell views. frank makes the amazing breakfasts. i was served as soon as i sat down.

parking spaces were available off the road which is a bonus. the location is close to restaurants and bars. the guesthouse is close to the town but also peaceful at night. the rooms have lovely views.
