dusty surfaces breakfast room
The location is excellent I had no issues parking.
I found the breakfast room cold the staff did not address this issue. The cleanliness was not satisfactory there was dust on surfaces. The price did not reflect the quality I encountered it felt overpriced.

the staff was friendly and helpful. the room was clean (i appreciated that). breakfast was superb with excellent food choices. i found onsite parking very convenient.
the decor looked a bit dated.

the hotel is directly in front of a main access road perfect to walk up helvellyn. it is situated near ullswater. many eating places are within walking distance from the hotel.

dated decor limited breakfast
The location was acceptable. It was close to where i needed to be.
The room felt quite dated. The decor needed some refreshing. i found laundry bags in the hallways. That didn't create a good impression. also, breakfast was somewhat limited. Just one slice of toast was given.

the breakfast had many choices and tasted great. the staff was very attentive and helpful . my room included complimentary toiletries and coffee , it was nice.

I found convenient parking on the premises. The room had great furnishings and the powerful shower was certainly appreciated after hiking. I enjoyed the top-quality breakfast. It prepared me well for my walking trip..
