underwhelming stay , despite the location
ineffective air conditioningstreet noise
the room i had was quite small , and it felt rather stuffy because the air conditioning wasn't very effective. the noise from the street was also noticeable , even late into the night , , made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

disappointed and underwhelmed stay
ineffective air conditioningerratic shower
I was not impressed with my stay. the air conditioning barely worked. The room was consistently stuffy and uncomfortable. plus, the shower was a nightmare, the temperature fluctuated wildly between scalding hot and freezing cold. i spent more time fighting with the water than actually showering. it reminded me of a constant battle just to get clean!

the chapel on site is BEAUTIFUL for prayer and reflection. many restaurants are nearby for dinner options. the staff seems ALWAYS courteous and helpful, which greatly impressed me.
i had issues with the tv because it didn't CONNECT. front desk didn't fixed it at all. that upset me slightly.

I found the location very nice with several restaurants within walking distance. The staff provided excellent service all day and night. The gardens are beautiful. The rooftop terrace presented views over the city.
The room faced the street, and street noise bothered me because i wanted a quite night.

Mixed Feelings. Some problems encountered
preserved buildingunfriendly staffbasement rooms
The building itself is beautiful and very well preserved. Its location is perfect for exploring.
The daytime front office staff was unfriendly. I felt unwelcome, especially when I mentioned discomfort in room 507. One staff member raised his voice at me. I suggest you avoid rooms 506 and 507. Those are basement rooms with a smell of moisture.

our stay was really good the location was perfect for exploring the area's restaurants and bars each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a great selection of items available the hotel's cool and calming atmosphere was cute after a day of sightseeing it felt refreshing to return to such a tranquil place.
the daytime front office staff seemed unfriendly i felt quite unwelcome when discussing room concerns a general improvement in staff interaction would enhance the guest experience this is something i hope can be addressed to improve future stays.

The breakfast room was gorgeous. Its decor showed a rich history. I enjoyed time in the beautiful courtyard. There were garden heaters, and staff made sure blankets are available. The bar person, Mariel, makes a tasty cocktail. He was charming.
