heritage feeltown centerensuite facilitiesweak coffeedry eggssoft bed
the building has such a lovely heritage feel. it's close to the town center and train station. i particularly loved that i could leave all my toiletries in the shared ensuite facilities without impacting anyone.
The breakfast wasn't great. there was little choice, the coffee was weak, and the scrambled eggs were dry. it might be better to walk into town and find a cafe instead. the beds were too soft. After a day of hiking in the blue mountains, that didn't help my body recover!

attentive staffexpensive breakfastsoft bed
The staff was lovely and attentive in both the restaurant and bar, a welcome change. The food was excellent. No complaints there.
My stay wasn't without its hitches. The continental breakfast at $30 a head seemed a tad extravagant. the bed felt too soft, like sleeping on a cloud made of marshmallows. I woke up with a slight neck ache, so that was not ideal.

central locationcreaky floorssubpar breakfast
the location was very central. it's right in the middle of everything i needed
The floors creaked incessantly. every step echoed through the room and hallways, especially at night, and made it tough to sleep soundly. the staff seemed rather grim. I rarely saw a smile, and it felt more like a chore than a pleasure for them to assist guests. the breakfast also missed the mark with limited options and subpar quality.
