a historical stay
kind staffgreat locationauthentic roomlumpy pillow
the staff was very kind and informative. i liked the great location by the train station and funicular. the rooms were authentically staged. breakfast was good (the coffee was strong!).
I had a really uncomfortable experience because of lumpy pillows. A restful sleep was difficult. the housekeeping needs to raise its standards with the pillows issue. the floors needed a wash, not just sweeping.

the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. most staff members spoke english or spanish, which facilitated communication. the staff offered recommendations for a local fish restaurant for a special occasion.

the hotel's location is close to the train station and funicular. the hotel is situated at the top of the main avenue. a sandwich shop is just across the street.

the rooms were spacious with plenty of storage. the beds were large, but a bit hard for my personal preference (a softer mattress would have been ideal). the room overlooked the main street.

The building features AMAZING architecture and a beautifully restored design. I found the location convenient with easy access to nearby attractions. Breakfast had a great selection. The staff were also really attentive, addressing my needs promptly.
The room lacked sufficient soundproofing, and i could hear noise from neighboring rooms easily.

The courtyard had a beautiful pool and provided a great space to relax. I saw it included comfortable loungers and a shaded area. The hotel offered multiple little nooks on the second floor, offering a quiet space away from the lobby.

The staff WAS helpful and the location was convenient.
The air conditioning did not work in July. This made the room very uncomfortable at night. I received only parking comped after requesting A partial refund.
