adequate stay, some issues noted
little lightplumbing noise
the room i had faced the interior of the building. there was very little natural light. it felt a bit like being in a box, which i did not appreciate. the noise from the plumbing system was quite loud. it disturbed my sleep each night. the promised compensation of free breakfast was not a suitable resolution.

Excellent stay, great location

The staff were helpful with directions. The gothic quarter is complicated. I appreciated the early check-in since i was jet lagged. Bathrooms have good size. They offer enough space around the sinks.
The bed frame has electronics built into it. It was clicking during the night even with lights off.

I found many bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Sensi Tapas is just down the street. Reservations should be made well in advance.

The location provided easy walks to areas like El Born. Barceloneta and Barri Gothic were also easily accessible. La Rambla was nearby. A taxi stand is in a plaza near by.

unacceptable noise leveldifferent room
The noise level proved unacceptable. i was on a lower floor. it was directly above some sort of machinery. it operated through much of the night. i requested a different room. none were available. it severely impacted my ability to rest, .
