james was very friendly. he gave helpful tips for seeing the local area. i had nice chats with him. porridge and whisky were available. i met mark and got some nice t shirts.
there wasnt a tv in my room. the communal kettle did not work well and needed switching on repeatedly.

the common room had coffee and porridge available. whisky was also on offer. there are several pubs and restaurants nearby, including the oyster shed for fresh seafood and the talisker distillery.

the location is great for exploring skye. the hotel is close to the fairy pools and fairy glen. the views from the hotel are lovely. it is in a quiet area with a pub nearby.

The room lacked some amenities. There was no TV, a travesty, and no coffee making facilities. Apparently, one must fetch ones own coffee from a communal area, a shocking imposition. And the bed! Oh, the bed threatened to eject me at any moment. Sleeping on a mountain ledge seemed safer. It felt as if you would fall out all the time.

The host, James, offered such warmth, I felt right at home. I appreciated the common room stocked with coffee, tea, and snacks. I also enjoyed the complimentary whiskey offered (a lovely touch!). The location suited my plans, being so close to local attractions.
