super clean rooms lovely walk quick service
I was pleased with the super clean rooms. The owner recommended a lovely walk for fish and chips. Breakfast service was very quick. I also liked the views from my window.
I found a lack of attention to detail in the room, for example, an electrical socket was loose.

steve, our host, was helpful. he. the attention to detail is first class and i really appreciated it. breakfast was wonderful.
The air conditioning was a portable unit. it was a bit noisy. This made sleeping slightly difficult.

Wonderful Stay, Every Detail Considered

I was SO impressed with the level of detail and care put into this hotel. The rooms are decorated thoughtfully (I loved the literary theme!). Steve is a very cute host. He gave great recommendations. Its location directly across from the beach is unbeatable.
I noticed some street noise late at night but it didn't drastically impact my sleep.

The hotel features a unique literary theme. Books and art are located throughout common areas. The breakfast service includes locally sourced honey pre-packaged in jars from Tiptree. There is no lift on the premises.

The hotel faces the beach directly and is close to several restaurants and pubs (like Wetherspoons). The Kings Statue is opposite the hotel, a very short walk away. Park Street car park provides parking two blocks from the seafront.

My King Room included fresh milk and chilled water in a fridge outside the room. Large fluffy towels were provided alongside toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was super clean with lovely features.

gluten-free options comfortable bed beautiful bathroom fluffy towels
steve welcomed us warmly and handled my gluten allergy with ease by providing me with an extensive list of gluten-free breakfast items. the room, named (the italian job), had thoughtful details. we had chilled water and fresh milk available in a fridge to bring up to the room. the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom beautiful, and the towels large and fluffy.

helpful owner great detail super clean place
The owner was very helpful. He took care of us personally. The attention to detail was great, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. I really appreciated the sea view from the front window.

the hotel's location proved ideal. it sits right across from the beach and several restaurants are close. i was able to come and go as i pleased. the provided key ensured freedom.
i noticed a lack of attention to detail in my room. the electrical socket was loose. this small issue detracted slightly from the overall quality.
