a dreamy french escape

one night was not enough to experience all this place offered i was captivated by the old world charm and the beautiful details everywhere i looked the staff was very attentive and the breakfast in the morning included local products which was so nice. i reminded me of i was in a fairy tale i enjoyed the peace and quiet of the gardens surrounding the hotel and i relaxed in the antique chairs.
the location is a bit remote but that is really part of its charm and it adds to the tranquility but it does require a little planning if you want to explore nearby towns.

breakfast included fresh local products and handmade pastries it was served each morning in a beautifully decorated room there was fresh fruit and a selection of local cheeses and meats available.

the bedding had crisp linens and a big fluffy duvet my room included a sitting area plus a makeup table the private washroom featured a bathtub and water closet adding comfort to the stay.

the hotel featured beautiful gardens and ample parking i felt completely at ease knowing my car was secure on the premises there were several rooms available where i could soak up the ambience and relax.

A nice countryside retreat

I appreciated the fresh local produce at breakfast. Anne's homemade strawberry compote was especially sensational, I enjoyed it. The chateau provided full use of the downstairs reception rooms. A tea and coffee preparation area was available too.
i noticed a slight draft from the original windows.

a mixed stay at the... hotel
no air conditioning
the location worked well as a base for exploring the somme battlefields, i suppose.
The lack of air conditioning became a real problem during a heatwave. It made the room pretty uncomfortable. plus, finding dinner nearby was a bit of a hassle since you're quite isolated. You have to drive to a village or amiens. breakfast was fine though!

excellent servicebeautiful groundshistorical gems
anne greeted us warmly. she provided excellent service. breakfast included locally produced items. the room, a double room garden view, was super clean and cozy. i slept well with the windows open. the surrounding grounds were beautiful and peaceful. i enjoyed exploring the gardens. it was very quiet , a welcome change. we found the peacock fascinating to watch. the chateau was full of charm and historical gems.
the lack of air conditioning made the room a bit warm , but a small fan would fix it.
