mixed feelings about this place
cramped spacehigh noise
i booked a double room, but it seemed smaller than expected. the space was very limited, and it felt a little cramped. also, the noise level was higher than i hoped. i could hear street sounds late into the night, so it was hard for me to get a good sleep.

The staff were lovely! i especially appreciated iona, yvonne, and heather. Their communication was excellent and their manners were perfect. the room i had was also excellent, as was the breakfast. all of the staff were great.
the hot water pressure wasn't great, and the drains were slow.

This hotel has a central location! the restaurant is located within the hotel. another very good restaurant is within walking distance. This made dining convenient. a large car park is directly at the hotel.

The room featured mod-cons. It was spacious with a large bay window facing the sea, and it also included a seating area! the bed was large and comfortable. tea and coffee making facilities were available.

The room size was good.
The noise levels were unacceptable! I could clearly hear music late into the night, and the staff seemed unconcerned. It really affected my sleep quality and overall stay. I wouldn't come back because of this

small roomparking absence
the double room was quite small it didn't look like the picture advertised i was cold and there was no parking space in the car park when i told the staff what i wanted for breakfast and what i didn't want she gave me what i didn't want and didn't give me what i wanted then she had the audacity to point out there was an egg on the plate obviously it wasn't what i had asked for this left me frustrated

convenient locationlovely viewtasty breakfast
the location proved quite convenient near the train station and a short taxi ride got me to the stena line ferry. i appreciated the lovely view overlooking loch ryan. the breakfast was filling and tasty.
i found the hot water pressure in the shower to be quite weak.
